When our Cresimo air pot died, I quickly ordered this 2.2 liter to hold our coffee and keep it hot without overcooking. It is a nice, sleek design and is doing the job to keep our fresh brew warm enough through the day and the next morning. The lid dribbles a lot, but it is easy to clean. Customer service is excellent, giving us a replacement for the airpot because we had it only 3 months before it failed. This pot holds lots of coffee! In fact, it’s so huge, I wish I’d bought a smaller size: it’s awkward to carry and pour. But that sizing mistake is on me, not the pots fault! I only gave it 3 stars because the seal in the lid is weird: when you press the button to open/pour the steam inside propels a spray of coffee out with an audible pop. Then the lip dribbles a fair amount when you are done pouring. These are not issues I’ve had with other carafes, so I think they’re design/engineering flaws in this model. On the plus side, it does keep the coffee hot for a reasonably long time.We are having a wedding brunch and needed a way to have lots of coffee on hand. The event hasn't happened yet but we did test it. I first put boiling water in the carafe to heat it up. It kept the coffee warm enough until it was empty. Took me a minute but you really have to screw the cap on hard so it will line up and seal.I used it because I drink decaf coffee and everyone else drinks regular, it worked out perfect every morning while we were on a camping trip. It kept my coffee hot and didn’t leaked at all. You will need a long brush to cleaned it though.Bought 2 of these Thermal Carafes. I used them to house hot tea for an event. The event was about 7 hours long and these carafes held up really well! Almost burned myself as I was cleaning them up after because the leftover tea inside was still piping hot!My only gripe is that you have to preheat/precool them for about 10-15 minutes with hot or cold water depending on what you'll be using it for, so it can take up some time. Definitely not grab, fill, and go friendly. However I didn't mind because both carafes worked perfectly. This review is based on a one-time use of this product, so I'll update if anything happens in the coming months. When pre-heated I've had tea for around 12 hours still hot enough to serve and I mean not warm but not boiling hot. Just the right Temperature equivalent to getting hot coffee from Starbucks or Dunkin. The only issue I've had when pouring tea is the valve sometimes leaks a little more tea out once I've closed it but still holding it over my cup, but it doesn't let heat/steam out when the valve is closed. I haven't had any issues with washing it or leaking steam out. I've had it for several months and would recommend it.This Thermal Coffee Carafe has been working great. It keeps the coffee very warm for several hours. It is easy to clean. The carafe is larger than our old one and I love the fact that it holds almost a full pot of coffee. You need something on a handle to clean all the way to the bottom, but the mouth is wide enough that a special brush is not required.I'll keep this short - The jug works very well. I use it for tea. First thing every morning I fill this Jug with tea. 12 hours later, the tea is still warm enough to drink. Its not going to be as hot as when you freshly make it hours previously, but the tea stays hot enough to consume. No complaints. I'd buy this again but use it for coffee. Great product.Quick update: Just for the record I only payed £21 for this item and now it's around £38! I would give it 5 stars but sorry, way over priced. I was planning on buying another but not at the current price.I am very happy with this purchase. The insolated thermos is quite nice and retains heat or cold for a very long time. How long? I just completed a test of its ability to retain heat, and to insolate cold.Ambient temperature in my home = 18 degrees celsius. For hot, starting temp = 93 (degrees c)+8 h = 73, +11h = 67, +14h = 61, +18h = 57 -> So, 18 hours later, boiling temperature water was still hot enough that it was uncomfortable to touch! Impressive! For cold, starting temp = .5 (degrees c) filled with ice cubes and water.Since ice water doesn't change temperatures until the ice is melted, I only measured until the ice was melted.+14 h = 1/2 ice remaining, +20 h = some ice still remaining -> Ice cold water lasted longer than 24 hours! This does NOT keep a hot beverage hot for more than 3h. I made tea at 10am this morning. By 13:00, the tea was warm but not hot. Let me put it this way, at 13:00 I could pour a cup of tea and down it without worrying about burning my throat or mouth. The outside walls of this jug quickly become too hot to touch when you pour boiling water inside it so how can it keep the liquid warm when all the heat is escaping through every bit of surface it has?I guess the reason it gets so many positive reviews is because the beverage is still warm but it is definitely not hot. It slows down the loss of heat so if you think you'll drink 2 litres of tea in 2-3 hours, this might work for you. Personally, I'd like to make tea and keep it hot a bit longer.I bought it, and initially thought great. However the removable lid cannot be cleaned with confidence. The mechanism does not come apart and food gets inside. You cannot see inside it. This is a potential health hazard. I note the small print inside says not to be used for baby food due to risk of bacterial overgrowth. Two things to watch out for. - It doesn't keep tea as warm as expected. Especially if you do not fill it all the way, full 2 Litres every time. Nevermind 12 hours, tea/coffee barely stays warm for 6-8 hours.- It is not ergonomic at all. You have to tilt the jug all the way up to get liquids flowing, see the picture. Very poorly designed I have to say.The only reason I am not returning it is the hassle during lock down. Just don't have time and we need something for now. As soon as things get back to normal, will ship it to 2nd hand sales.
